ARMY RISING is SURELY the best thing to come out of Ireland since.well, since ANYTHING. Formed four years ago, this group of seventeen- and eighteen-year-olds from Fethard in Tipperary have defied all odds by developing into an accomplished live act through sheer persistence: Ireland isnt renowned for its metal heritage, but Army Rising rehearsed and gigged whenever the opportunity arose to become a slick live and recording outfit, citing their influences as Pantera, Iron Maiden, Lamb Of God, Metallica, Megadeth and Parkway Drive.
