Atlanta is an instrumental jam band from the Netherlands consisting of drummer Bob Hogenelst (Birth Of Joy/Molasses), bassguitarist Sebas van Olst (Typhoon/Cool Genius) and guitarist Pieter Holkenborg (Automatic Sam/Ten East). The three members share their love for bands like Jimi Hendrix Experience, Yawning Man, electric Miles Davis, ICP Orchestra, The Nels Cline Singers and instrumental Black Flag in their spontaneous improvisations. All Atlanta performances are completely and strictly improvised. The band refuses to play on a stage and prefers not to use the PA.
