Crossing Daylight

The ex-Pere Ubu enigma and synth maestro who left the band in the late '80s to become an airline pilot has now returned to music, first back to synthesizers but, with this release, a highly personal set of compositions interpreted by traditional concert instruments. These are ambiguous, hovering compositions - air-tinting, incidental, cinematic swatches of sound, seemingly ephemeral and unattached - like sonic fire-lanterns drifting into oblivion.
